He spoke about the auditing process he uses at ARISE to evaluate homes of people with disabilities for needed modifications to reduce the chance of injuries and enable residents to continue living in their homes for as long as possible.
The annual Christian Unity Supper, sponsored by the Greater Fulton Area Council of Christian Churches, will be held on May 12 at First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third St., starting at 6 p.m. Those in attendance are asked to bring a dish to pass and table service.

Mike Thaler, the author of the popular “Teacher from the Black Lagoon” series, visited Fairgrieve Elementary recently. Thaler read stories like “A Hippopotamus Ate the Teacher” and “Never Mail an Elephant” to individual classes, asking questions that stretched their imaginations along the way.
The Fulton Music Association’s 18th Annual Celebration of Community Music featuring the Fulton Community Band, Community Dixieland Band and a variety of local talent will be presented on May 16 at 7 p.m. in the G. Ray Bodley High School auditorium.

Parents of Special Children presents its annual fundraiser, to be held on May 17, from noon until 4 p.m. at the Hannibal American Legion Post 1552. The family event will include a chicken barbecue, door prizes, raffles, a delicious bake sale and music by Proctor Entertainment and Event Services. There will also be crafts and fun activities lasting throughout the afternoon.
New York Sea Grant and the Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District are asking the people who live, work and play along the Lake Ontario shoreline and on North Sandy Pond to share personal stories and photos of storm events to help local communities better assess risk, build storm readiness and resiliency, and reduce future storm damage and recovery expenses.
