Oswego County Historical Society to Host Lecture On Life of Civil War Soldier and Oswego News Correspondent

The Oswego County Historical Society will host the first lecture of the 2015 season on April 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the Richardson-Bates House Museum located at 135 E. Third St. The event is free and open to the public. Guest lecturer Rick Sivers will present a program entitled, “With Pen and Sword.”

‘Arcadia’ Student Cast Explores Story That Transcends Time, Themes

SUNY Oswego’s theater department will open Tom Stoppard’s “Arcadia” on April 24 offering audiences two separate casts and their interpretation of a play with highlights of humor, moments of melancholy and thought-provoking passages. “Arcadia,” often called the masterpiece of the Czech-born British playwright, will run at 7:30 p.m. April 24 and 25 and the following Saturday, May 2, closing with a matinee at 2 p.m. May 3.
