“The Oswego Canal: Then and Now,” a photographic exhibit by Nick D’Innocenzo, which will open March 3 at the center’s new location on River Glen Drive on the CCC Fulton Campus. The exhibit depicts the changes along the canal comparing archival photos with their contemporary twin. The exhibit will run March 3 through April 26 with an opening reception on March 3 from 5 to 7 p.m.
To be eligible for these honors, full-time students must have successfully completed 12 or more attempted hours; and part-time students must have successfully completed 6 attempted hours.
As third grade students at Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Elementary School were studying physics and forces and motion in physical science recently, they decided to put their knowledge to a test. Teams of students were given a project to design and construct a catapult that would launch a marshmallow at a target.

Emily Smith of Cleveland was inducted into Mohawk Valley Community College’s Lambda Beta Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society recently during a ceremony held in the Schafer Theater on the Utica Campus. Phi Theta Kappa is the International Honor Society for two-year colleges and the largest honor society in American higher education.
Meghan Yost of Mexico is among a record number of students who will present their research Feb. 19 as part of Heidelberg University’s 22th annual “Minds@Work” Student Research Conference. Working with faculty mentor Dr. Marc O’Reilly, Yost, a senior majoring in History and Political Science, will present “To Join or Not to Join: Turkey’s EU Accession Struggle.”
Nurses from the St. Luke Family of Caring are teaming up with the Oswego YMCA to offer the community bone density screenings on February 25 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Oswego YMCA, 249 W. First St. The screening is free of charge and open to YMCA members and the public alike.
