An exhibition titled “Transitions” from March 13 to April 11 at Oswego State Downtown will showcase artwork created by students who have recently transferred into SUNY Oswego’s art disciplines. A free public reception for the artists will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. March 27, at the branch of the College Store and Tyler Art Gallery at West First and Bridge streets in Oswego.

The Dean’s List recognizes students that have a grade point average of 3.6 or higher.

Considered by many to be the perfect musical comedy, the John C. Birdlebough High School drama club will present “Guys and Dolls” on March 12-14. Show times are scheduled for 4 p.m. on March 12; 7:30 p.m. on March 13; and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on March 14.

U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Courtney E. Snyder graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The reception is combining for the first time the United Way’s annual meeting with The Admiral Society’s Leadership Giving reception. The United Way staff, campaign cabinet and board members have adopted this year’s new format to give them the ability to strongly recognize both volunteers and leadership givers on a more personal level.

Major General Patrick A. Murphy, the Adjutant General, announces the recent reenlistment of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their continuing commitment to serve community, state and nation as part of the Army National Guard.
