The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, will hold an informational hour on falls prevention at Fulton Mills Apartments on Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. The one-hour session will be conducted by Rachel Brooks, “Six Steps to Better Balance” instructor and “Osteo Bone Builders” master trainer.

The public is invited to a free car seat safety check at the East Side Fire Department on Feb 7 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Trained and nationally certified child passenger technicians will be on hand to answer all your questions and assist in making sure your child’s car seat is as secure as possible.

Each month, the Fulton Rotary Club invites two students from Fulton High School so that the students can learn how a service club helps the community and the Rotarians learn how the students are also helping our community. Jake Seymour and Madden Rowlee were congratulated by Rotarian Judy Young, chair of the Student Activities Committee, at a recent meeting.

Part-Time honors are awarded to students who earned at least a 3.25 GPA in 6 to 11 credits of coursework.

Participants at Oswego County Opportunities’ Fulton Dining and Activity center display some of the “Share the Love” hearts they created to decorate the center as part of OCO’s participation in the Subaru “Share the Love” event.

Students are named to the Dean’s List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.

Tim Ames, whose works have won more than 60 awards in state shows, is sharing his local work. These beautiful paintings evoke our city in all seasons and will be here until the end of the
month.

To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Jen Losurdo was the winner of the United Way of Greater Oswego County’s drawing for a ladies half-carat halo diamond ring.
