Members of the Fulton Polish Home will be holding their annual Friday fish dinners beginning on February 6. Serving will be from 4 until 7:30 p.m. Dinners will run each Friday through Good Friday, April 3.

Oswego Children’s Theater will host auditions for its annual teen production on January 20 from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mosher family, 151 E. Seneca St. This year’s production will be the classic play Our Town.

Students at the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation learned a lesson in giving during the recent holiday season. The generosity of CiTi students was evident throughout the community.

The Phoenix Central School District is setting the bar high in its pursuit for academic excellence and other school districts across the state haven taken notice. Amplify Learning Core Knowledge, which is a rigorous English language arts program aligned with the Common Core Learning Standards, helps students develop better literacy skills.

Students at Lura Sharp Elementary School recently discovered what it takes to become an actor during a visit from the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. Several performers from MGR stopped by to provide workshops and study guide materials tailored to each grade level. More than just an acting lesson, the workshops are also designed to help teachers and students meet the New York State Learning Standards.

Those named to the Dean’s List have achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average for all courses attempted and have earned 12 or more credits during the semester.

Of those students awarded honors, 171 students were named to the President’s List for earning a grade point average of 3.80 or higher.

Members of the Fulton Polish Home will be serving up chicken BBQ dinners at their club on January 31, serving from 11:30 a.m. until all chickens are sold. Full dinners consisting of a half chicken, salt potatoes, BBQ beans, roll, and butter are $9. Half chicken only available for $6.
