CNY Arts Center is gearing up for its fourth Annual Snow Day on January 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The family fun event will be held at the center’s new location on the CCC Campus at 11 River Glen Plaza.
The Center for Instruction Technology and Innovation’s Career and Technical Education department recently sponsored a canned food drive to make Christmas baskets for families in need. Individual classes were told that the most “giving” class would win a pizza party.
At a recent Sunrise Rotary meeting, Anna McNamara, public health educator from Oswego County Health Department, was introduced by Rotarian Linda Eagan. Anna had a video presentation representing many facets of what to do and how to do it in various emergency situations.

Everyone who purchases a “Bundle of Bucks” charity raffle ticket before February 14th is entered in the “Early Bird” drawing when five – $100 prize winners will be selected from current raffle ticket holders.
Each year, with the help of caring businesses, organizations and community members, Oswego County Opportunities’ Nutrition Services prepares and distributes hundreds of ‘Blizzard Bags’ to home delivered clients throughout Oswego County.
Applications are currently being accepted for summer jobs at Camp Hollis. Camp Hollis is a children’s residential camp owned by Oswego County and operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau. Most jobs require residency at Camp Hollis from Sunday evening through Friday evening each week, with weekends off.
Jessica Lawler, majoring in Biology Major (BS) has been named to the Fall 2014 Dean’s List at American International College. Dean’s List students are full-time students with a grade point average of 3.3 to 4.0.
The Oswego County Tourism Office is accepting photos of fishing, hunting and natural scenes to be used in its 2015-2016 Fishing and Hunting Guide. Entry deadline is 5 p.m. on January 23. The contest is open to county residents and non-residents, as long as the photos are taken in Oswego County within the last three years.
