Recently Cadette Girl Scouts from troop 10461 scraped and painted the picket fence around the grave of Dr. Mary Walker in the Rural Cemetery. Many parents and siblings helped. Our troop is committed to doing community service projects.
A friend of mine just adopted a new puppy, Otto. He is really cute at 10 weeks old, but she is finding that he tries to eat EVERYTHING. That is no exaggeration. She calls me every time it happens, frantic, and I am getting to be a nervous wreck over this puppy and he is not even mine. What can I tell her?
The Manor at Seneca Hill will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 26. Members of the public are invited to participate. The drive will be held in The Manor’s second floor dining room.
The Oswego County Health Department will hold a rabies clinic for cats, dogs, and pet ferrets from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Oswego County Highway Garage, 957 Centerville Road, Pulaski. New York State law requires that all cats, dogs, and pet ferrets be vaccinated against rabies.
Residents at Morningstar Residential Care Center enjoyed their daily exercise activity as they participated in a lively session of Noodlecise. Lively music and floating balloons kept the residents busy as they used their foam noodles to keep the balloons in the air.
The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund will launch its annual fundraising campaign this fall with a goal of reaching and surpassing $15,000 in donations to be matched by the John Ben Snow Memorial Trust. The Trust pledged to provide a dollar-for-dollar match, up to $15,000, of contributions received on or before December 15, 2014. This yields a potential for $30,000 of growth in a permanent endowment that solely supports local projects.
