Mrs. Pulverenti’s fourth grade class participated in a four-way videoconference called “Around NYS in 60 Minutes,” which connected classrooms from four separate regions of New York State. Each classroom provided a short presentation on their geographic location to the other classrooms watching, without ever saying their region’s name.

Robotics Training Brings Novelis, ABB Robotics and CiTi Together

Novelis is introducing these manufacturing robots into its hot mill manufacturing process. The robotic arms will perform various machine functions, such as marking rolls of aluminum accordingly.
Forty employees from Novelis will attend a training provided by an ABB Robotics employee to learn how the machines work.

Sandy Creek Fourth Graders Experience Native American Culture

The fourth graders at Sandy Creek Elementary School experienced a little bit of Native American culture from performer and teaching artist Dave Ruch. Ruch brought along a handmade rattle made by the Iroquois and had the children guess what materials the Iroquois might have used to make such an instrument long ago.
