The Oswego Children’s Theater’s latest production, “Shrek the Musical,” is a family affair in a couple of ways. First, it tells the story of two young people abandoned by their families; but OCT’s production of the show involves families in quite another way, in that many members of the cast and crew are related to each other.
Special guests from various professions filled both the primary and intermediate wings at Granby. There were police officers, a flight attendant and pilot, hair stylist, judge, nurse, farmer, business owner, athletic trainer, ballet teacher, massage therapist, safety trainer and banker.
The Fulton Force elite traveling baseball team opened its summer schedule with two impressive games against a very good CNY All-Star team on Sunday. The team needs help funding the rest of its tournament schedule, which includes at least three more tournaments with overnight stays with one lasting seven days.
Twenty-two students from Phoenix’s Emerson J. Dillon Middle School finished the school year earning distinguished honors from the school’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.
APW students discovered that there are many different types of insects; could identify and describe the three main body parts of insects: the head, thorax, and abdomen; and also learned about such things as exoskeletons, metamorphosis, and molting.

Students who achieve grade averages of 3.80 and above on the 4.00 scale are named to the President’s List, representing the top 7.7 percent of Oswego students.
