The Oswego County Legislature’s Government, Courts and Consumer Affairs Committee presented Carol M. “Peggy” Bickford with a certificate of appreciation for her 15 years of service.

The Manor at Seneca Hill remembered residents and participants of its Adult Day Health Services program who have passed away during the last year at a memorial service held at the skilled nursing facility. Leading the services was the Rev. Chuck Davis, who provides spiritual care at The Manor and belongs to the Pulaski Assembly of God Church.
Oswego Health will once again sponsor Syracuse Symphoria’s Holiday Pops Concert. The concert will be held December 15 at 3 p.m. at the Oswego High School auditorium. Tickets are available through a new arrangement this year.
The Oswego County Legislature recognized November 23 as National Adoption Day during its monthly meeting. With thousands of children currently in foster care in New York State, outreach to adoptive families is a critical step in moving children into loving, permanent homes.
On Thanksgiving morning, Masonic War Veterans Post 43 visited the VA Hospital in Syracuse to present gift baskets filled with special items of treats and needed items of hats, mittens and hand-knitted or crocheted lap blankets along with socks, gloves, sundries, T-shirts, and more to approximately 130 male and female patients, all who have served our country.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee presented a proclamation to Oswego County Opportunities, Inc., designating November as National Runaway Prevention Month. Each year there are between 1 and 3 million homeless or runaway youths in the United States.
The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified home health care, long-term home health care, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
