Oswego County BOCES Exceptional Education students and staff recently enjoyed a Thanksgiving luncheon. BOCES teacher Becky Craig, counselors Deb Scahill and Stacey Turtura and students Austin Baker and Johnny Bertges helped serve meal.
North Volney Methodist Church is sponsoring a Lights of Christmas tree for the upcoming Christmas season. Lights will be sold for $5 each and can be dedicated to a friend or family member, living or deceased, a service member or anyone you would like to remember at this special time of the year.
Tours of St. Francis Commons Assisted Living Residence in Oswego are available this holiday weekend. Tours will be available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. each day.
Local mom, Kelly Nickerson, loves to play video games and build Lego creation with her two boys. So she decided to share the idea with others. At the Fulton library on South First Street, there is a Lego Club every Thursday at 4 p.m. and lasts until 5 p.m. or until the fun has stopped.
Snow isn’t the only flurry on the radar. December brings a flurry of activity to the CNY Arts Center in Fulton.
The H. Lee White Maritime Museum is pleased to host its annual Christmas at Sea open house on December 8 from 1-4:30 p.m. Come and celebrate the holiday season in Oswego’s gaily decorated Historic Maritime District.
Thanks to donations from concerned community members and area businesses, Catholic Charities’ food pantry will provide more than 300 families with all the fixings for a complete Thanksgiving meal.
The Oswego Kiwanis Club will hold its annual Kiwanis Kids Christmas Party December 8 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Bridie Manor Restaurant in Oswego. Admission is free to children and their families.
Neil P. Devendorf, of Fulton, has been selected for membership into Alpha Psi Omega, the national honorary society for theater, at St. Lawrence University. Devendorf is a member of the Class of 2016 at St. Lawrence and graduated from G. Ray Bodley High School.
