Oswego County LEAH announces the completion of its homeschool fall cooperative. Twice a year, homeschool students gather at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Fulton. Classes are offered from preschool to high school with a nursery available.

The chorus will perform a mix of traditional carols and popular Christmas songs. The event will take place Saturday at the Oswego Alliance Community Center, 371 Thompson Road Oswego. Two performances will be held; one at 2:01 p.m. and one at 7:01 p.m.
The ONE Campaign and The Weinstein Company announced today (Dec. 3) that SUNY Oswego is the winner of ONE’s Campus Challenge and one of 10 college campuses in the U.S. to host a private, pre-release screening the new film, Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom.
During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.
Just before the Thanksgiving break, the Minetto Elementary School Student Council sponsored a PJ Day to benefit the Minetto Holiday Drive. Contributions were quite generous with a large number of canned goods along with $200 in cash being donated.
The CNY Arts Center of Fulton has announced its next Author’s Spotlight, an ongoing program where community members can meet local writers who have recently published a book. On December 11 at 7 p.m., at the Art Center’s Arts in the HeART Gallery, four authors will share the stage: Jo Ann Butler, Lisa Davis, John Mercer and Susan Peterson Gateley.
The Fulton Medical Center will host an American Red Cross blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. December 12 in the healthcare facility’s lower level conference room. Members of the public are encouraged to donate a pint of blood during the drive.
The annual event provides an opportunity to buy unique Christmas gifts, or items for personal use. Proceeds from the show will help fund morning program at Lura Sharp Elementary.
