Oswego County OB-GYN, P.C is pleased to announce the Babies of the Month for June, July and August. The babies mothers were presented with a basket of baby items such as; bottles, wipes, blankets, clothes and toys and coupons from area merchants.
Michael Brophy, a professional genealogical researcher, columnist and lecturer in the Boston area, will present four workshops at the annual Heritage Hunters Fall Conference. The conference will be held on October 19 at Saratoga Town Hall in Schuylerville, at the corner of Route 4 and Route 29, (12 Spring St.).
The American Foundry will be providing the next Salvation Army Guest Chef dinner on October 8 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. They will be serving chicken and biscuits, vegetable, tossed salad, and bread. Members of the advisory board will provide desserts and beverages.
On September 27, students taking Mr. Bono’s Participation in Government Class at G. Ray Bodley High School were given the opportunity to interact with three special guest speakers during class. The special guest speakers were from the city of Fulton Republican Committee; newly elected chairman Mark Aldasch Sr., committeemen Dalton Sherman and Mark Aldasch Jr.
Oswego County’s finest artisans will gather on October 5 at St. Paul’s Church Hall, located at the corner of East Fourth and Mohawk streets, to display their wares at Trinity Catholic School’s annual Harvest Craft Show. The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS, and every 90 minutes someone loses their battle to this debilitating disease. For Darby Leaf, this battle was personal. Leaf’s grandmother, Linda Hathaway, lost her fight with ALS this past summer.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Health Committee recently presented the village of Mexico with the first-place award in its annual best-tasting water contest. The competition is sponsored by the Oswego County Health Department’s Environmental Division, New York State Department of Health and the New York State chapter of the American Water Works Association.
State Senator Patty Ritchie visited Parish Public Library recently to tour the library and meet with staff and volunteers. Parish Public Library was the recipient of $3,000 in special funding secured by Senator Ritchie.
