The Family Education and Partnership program invites families to join them for a special Family Activity Night featuring an entertaining performance by Nels Ross. On Sept. 25 he will bring his contagious sense of humor and sidesplitting, gravity-defying presentation to Catholic Charities of Oswego County. The performance will begin at 5 p.m.
The Oswego Tree Stewards will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the third floor conference room of City Hall. Michael DeMarco, an ISA Certified Arborist, will be there to talk a little about different types of good city trees and to answer any tree questions you may have about an urban canopy. This education session is open to the public.
Hannibal Central School District students noticed some new faces and recognized some familiar faces in new places when they headed back to school earlier this month.
The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District Dollars for Scholars organization will be hosting its annual Fall Bonanza Fundraiser on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Altmar Hotel, 6 Mill St., Altmar.
On Sept. 29, First United Church of Fulton, 33 S. Third Ave., will host its third annual Blessing of the Animals in an outdoor service at 2 p.m. The greater Fulton community is invited to bring small pets which should be either on a leash or appropriately sheltered.
The Friends of History In Fulton, N. Y., Inc., will hold a chicken barbecue at the Pavilion on Bullhead Point, Route 3 West, on October 6 from 11:30 a.m. until sold out. The chicken is prepared by Fricken Chicken and will consist of half a chicken, salt potatoes, macaroni salad, roll and brownie. Eat in or take out.
