The second annual art camp will return July 15-19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 357 State St., Fulton. Students, ages 5-15, choose art, dance, writing or theater followed by lunch provided and afternoon group projects.

The Minetto United Methodist Church will host a free dinner on July 21, serving from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will be hamburgers and Hoffman hot dogs, macaroni salad, baked beans, and dessert. Donations are not expected but will be accepted.

Our Scriba Food Pantry has served thousands of meals over the years to many residents in the town of Scriba. In fact, we’ve given out more than 1000 meals in just the last three months. We have recently lost some much needed funding.

The H. Lee White Museum and Maritime Center, located on the West First Street Pier in Oswego’s Historic Maritime District, has extended its hours to 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Sunday throughout July and August.

Nedrowfest is a family friendly festival for Nedrow and neighboring communities in the parking lot of Eagle Life Center, sponsored by Eagle Life Wesleyan Church and St. Andrew’s Anglican Church. Live music performed by Mike Bolio of Fulton and his band, The Sent Forth.

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Betty Maute introduced her brother, John Ghidiu, an independent management consultant. He provides team building, instructional design, continuous process improvement, change management and leadership development support on a global bases for companies such as Bayer, Pfizer and Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Hard work paid off for Madeline Galvin, Tory Jaskula and Sarah Mancuso. The trio finished at the top of their classes. Tory was Valedictorian of Oswego High School while Sarah was Salutatorian at Oswego High School. Madeline was Salutatorian at Mexico High School.

Matthew Glavin will bring his lively storytelling and blend of fact and fiction to the Oswego Public Library and help us kick off the 26th Harborfest on July 24 at 6:30 p.m. The Friends of the Library will provide light refreshments and Matthew will be selling and signing his book, Adirondack Treasure: The Bonaparte Legacy, in the Erik and Emily Cole Community Room after his talk.

Continental Arms Collectors Association’s Revolutionary War Interpretive Unit participated in the Flag Day Event, attended by more than 600 students, at Fort Ontario on June 14. The unit’s next event will be the Fair Haven Independence Parade on Thursday at 7 p.m.
