Come join us for a night of fighting cancer and fun! Relay For Life of Oswego will be June 14. Opening ceremony begins at 6:45 p.m. Activities go on all evening long.
Titled “Fight and Flight,” the fourth and final Oswego County Academic Youth League competition was set in an historic venue. Located at Oswego’s historic Fort Ontario, the competition featured two main tasks, each executed in two different ways. The first task involved the construction of two kites, one focused on performance and functionality, and the other on aesthetics.
Eliza Brooks Parker of Oswego was recently named to the King University Dean’s List for the spring semester 2013. The list recognizes those who participate in at least 12 hours of academic work and achieve a semester grade point average within the range of 3.50 to 3.99.
The Friends of History In Fulton, N. Y., Inc. will hold its annual Porch Party Fundraiser at the John Wells Pratt House Museum front porch and yard, 177 S. First St., Fulton, on June 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The First United Methodist Church of Fulton, 1408 State Route 176, across from the junior high school, will hold a yard sale today and Saturday. The hours will be: May 31 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and June 1 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church will dedicate its newly restored sanctuary and fellowship hall during its 11 a.m. service on June 9. There will be no 8:30 service. Following the service, the church History Committee will host a display of pictures, memorabilia and books on the history of the church from its founding in 1870 to present.
