Rose Chamberlin earned the Ariel Lawson ’08 Memorial Prize, awarded to a student in good academic standing whose dedication to the College is expressed with the purpose of maintaining and perpetuating the Wells “Sisterhood” and who is committed toward solving larger issues of economic and social justice.

Girl Scout Troop Holds Bronze Award Project to Benefit Children’s Hospital

When deciding what they wanted to do to earn their Girl Scout Bronze Award, Kaitlyn Czerow, Clare Hook, Cecile Laundre, Julia Roman, Katie Fierro, and Cadie Lily from Girl Scout Junior Troop 10461, decided they wanted to do something for sick children. So on June 2 from 1-3 p.m. the girls are holding an event at the St. Joseph’s Church on West First Street in Oswego to benefit the Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Pinwheels to fight Child Abuse Project Under Way

The fight against child abuse has been undertaken throughout the Oswego City School District. Currently a fundraiser to benefit the Child Advocacy Center and Prevent Child Abuse NY is being conducted at every school. Students and staff can purchase pinwheels to created a pinwheel garden to serve as a symbol for child abuse prevention.
