Oswego Middle School Principal Mary Beth Fierro has announced the third quarter honor roll.

There will be a bingo marathon on June 2 to benefit Friends of the Pulaski Public Library. It will be held at  the American Legion Post 358, 3350 Maple Ave., Pulaski.

The Oswego City School District will lose hundreds of years of experience when the latest retirees leave at the end of the school year. Recently, Superintendent of Schools Bill Crist and Board Vice President Kathleen Allen recognized the newest retirees for their contributions.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee recently presented a proclamation designating April as Fair Housing Month to Legislator James Karasek, District 22; representing the Fair Housing Council.

The Oswego Alumni Association will present the Outstanding Senior Award to two candidates for May graduation at the Commencement Eve Dinner preceding SUNY Oswego’s traditional Torchlight Ceremony on May 17. Recipients are Barbara Ciceron, a political science and communication studies major, and Mary Yaeger, a public relations major.

The Oswego County Legislature proclaimed April as Child Abuse Prevention Month and presented a certificate to representatives of Oswego County’s Child Protection Advisory Council and Department of Social Services.

Meghan Yost of Mexico is among 45 students from Heidelberg University who will be inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society that recognizes academic excellence among first-year students. Yost is a sophomore majoring in Anthropology and History.

Students at Lanigan Elementary School competed recently for the crowning achievement of being named a Battle of the Books Champion and the opportunity to represent their school and the Fulton City School District in a county-wide books battle on May 1.
