Sophie Greene as Helen and Peter Mahan as Captain Keller in the compelling story of a deaf/blind child take center stage in this fresh adaptation of the classic story of Helen Keller and her teacher Anne Sullivan.
Executive Director of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County, Karrie Damm announced Carol Gazitano has joined the staff. Gazitano, who holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from SUNY Oswego, and Masters in marriage and family therapy from SU, brings with her considerable experience in the field of psychology and counseling.
The Oswego Tree Stewards are looking for more volunteer citizen pruners. On March 28, Phil and June MacArthur and Valerie Dawnstar, all volunteer tree stewards went to Albany to accept an award from Arbor Day Foundation for Oswego becoming a Tree City USA.

Princess Winnifred shows strong resolve to land her prince, Dauntless, in SUNY Oswego’s production of “Once Upon a Mattress,” a musical comedy that will enter its second and final weekend at 8 p.m. April 27, with a matinee finale at 2 p.m. April 28.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and this year’s campaign focuses on healthy sexuality and its connection to child sexual abuse prevention. In recognition of this important campaign, Oswego County Opportunities’ Services to Aid Families program is encouraging community members to join the conversation.
On April 18, law enforcement officers around the state will participate in an Operation Safe Stop day. During “Safe Stop,” police officers are in marked patrol units enforcing the New York State Traffic Law which requires all vehicles to stop for stopped school busses with their red lights flashing.
