Emotional, inspirational and every other positive adjective you can think of describes the production of Helen Keller at the CNY Art Center at last Saturday’s performance, which was cosponsored and attended by Fulton Lions Club members and friends.
Play On! is a play about an amateur play group who are coming up to opening night with things less than half done. The play opens on Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the OHS theater. Admission is $5 at the door.
Fulton Boys Lacrosse program will hold a fundraiser car wash on May 11. The hours are noon to 2 p.m.
Major General Patrick A. Murphy, the Adjutant General, announces the recent reenlistment of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their continuing commitment to serve community, state and nation as part of the Army National Guard.
Motorcycle and 5K run registration is now available for the annual summer ARISE & Ride for Ramps event. The event will take place on June 8 at Fort Ontario. In addition to the 5K run and motorcycle ride, there will also be a chicken BBQ, Rudy’s Lakeside, kids’ bike ride around the Fort, music, food, and fun family activities.
The Oswego State Men’s ACHA D1 hockey team celebrated the end of its season at its annual team dinner at Tavern on the Lock Restaurant in Fulton last month. The Tavern on the Lock has been a generous sponsor of the team for many years. Besides celebrating the Oswego careers of the graduating seniors, individual awards were handed out after the dinner.
The 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg will be commemorated at the May 15 meeting of the Oswego Town Historical Society, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 2320 County Route 7.
The Oswego County Legislature’s Human Services Committee recently presented Peggy Feeney with a certificate of appreciation for her 32 years of service. Feeney was a senior account clerk at the Oswego County Department of Social Services.
RSVP Director Ellen Wahl will be guest speaker at the May 21 Caregivers Educational Session at the Oswego Office Complex, 70 Bunner St. Oswego. The session will be from 11 a.m. to noon in the administrative conference room on the second floor of the office complex.
