Students enrolled in the Stepping Stones Day Program at Oswego County BOCES participated in a classroom activity from their unit on The History of the Earth by designing, building and painting volcanoes in order to complete an experiment using baking soda and vinegar.

Trained child passenger technicians will be available to the public on April 17 from 1-3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Central Square, during the WIC clinic. The event is free and open to the public and no appointment is necessary.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety Committee presented Ronald Hadcock with a certificate of appreciation for his 15 years of service to the county.

Earning the honor of VIP at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton students were treated to a special ice cream sundae celebration. VIPs are Very Impressive Persons selected for exemplary attendance, commitment to academics and role model behavior and are recognized quarterly with a breakfast celebration.

The Oswego County Legislature’s Public Safety Committee presents Diane Holliday with a certificate of appreciation for her 27 years of service. Holliday was a probation officer with the Oswego County Probation Department.

Oswego County Sheriff Reuel A. Todd has announced that three Boating Safety Courses will be held beginning in May. There is no charge for the training.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program at SUNY Oswego has posted the 2013 schedule for AARP Driver Safety classes in Oswego County. Options begin with an April 11-12 offering in Oswego and wrap up with a session Aug. 12-13 in Phoenix, with many in between.
