The Oswego Lions Club will hold its 15th annual Wine and Beer tasting with silent auction March 22 at the American Foundry. The event is scheduled for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with pre-sale tickets $15 and $20 at the door the night of the event.

The students at Trinity Catholic School kicked off their 3rd Annual Jump Rope for Heart Campaign on Feb. 13. Students are currently accepting pledges for the event to be held at the school on March 20.

A program about how writing can help people understand and work with their grief is being offered at the CNY Arts Center in Fulton. Writing instructor Jim Farfaglia will share a variety of writing activities that offer a different way to interpret grief and new approaches to accepting it.

SUNY Oswego will begin using a standardized financial aid award letter for the 2013-14 academic year, as part of the SUNY system’s Smart Track campaign committing to transparency in college financing.

Beginning on May 15, personal information contained on your gun permit, including your home address, could be available to any member of the public who asks for it. Thankfully, gun owners can now protect the privacy of their personal information.

SUNY Oswego’s Small Business Development Center will host a series of idea-filled workshops for business success on such topics as marketing, business visioning and crowd-funding on March 21.

They joined with hundreds of other students, parents and school based health care representatives from across New York State to lobby on behalf of school-based health centers.

To be eligible for these honors, full-time students must have successfully completed 12 or more attempted hours; and part-time students must have successfully completed 6 attempted hours.
