Air Force Airman Haylea N. Hull graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
Three Fitzhugh Park Elementary School students will participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee regional competition at the Oswego High School on March 23.
Several area residents have been named to the Deans’ List for the fall semester at SUNY Oswego.
The Broadway musical The Secret Garden will bow at Oswego High School on February 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Robinson-Faust Theatre for the Performing Arts. The production features 40 high school actors and plenty of ghosts.
A trio of Charles E. Riley Elementary School students advanced to the regional of the Scripps National Spelling Bee competition.

Paige Steinbrecher and Lillylyn Humiston-Seaton are preschoolers at the Discovery Day Care Head Start Program and they are dressed up and pretending they are going to the grocery store to get groceries.
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, will hold a volunteer orientation for retired or semi-retired adults at 10 a.m. Jan. 22, at the Oswego Public Library community room.
