The presentation, which will be offered on January 26 from 1 – 4 p.m., will cover the many options available to writers who are looking for alternative methods of having their work published.

On January 22 from 6 – 8 p.m., Cranberry Ridge Farm will be offering  a free cheese and bakery tasting at The Lighthouse Mexico Church of God, 11 S. Jefferson St. They will be highlighting goat, sheep and cow cheese made on their small farm in Williamstown.

Members of the Fulton Police Benevolent Association presented Catholic Charities of Oswego County with a donation to help the agency restock its food pantry.

The Oswego Association of Business and Professional Women membership includes working women and retirees. We support local groups and organizations.

The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named nearly 900 students to the President’s List for the Fall 2012 semester in recognition of their academic excellence.

On January 9, the Parish Town Historical Society held its annual Christmas Pot Luck Dinner. A lovely dinner, as usual, was served and gifts were exchanged, there was lots of lively discussion centered on the history of Parish. The event was originally scheduled for December, but it became necessary to reschedule because of so many illnesses.

The Sandy Creek Central School District Varsity Cheerleaders were named Frontier League Winter Champions for Class C at a cheerleading championship held at Sandy Creek on January 12.

Fairgrieve Elementary School students selected for representing the behavioral expectation Being Responsible were recently honored during the school’s Morning Express program.
