Ben Turner of Murdock’s Bicycles and Sports in Oswego has collected 6 boxes of food to date. He started collecting food at his store in support of United Way’s Annual Stone Soup luncheon and is continuing to do so until Christmas.
I extend a heartfelt thank you to all those who lent their support to the United Way’s Annual Stone Soup Luncheon. The event was an excellent reflection of the theme of this year’s United Way campaign, “It’s our community and it’s personal.”

Preparations are under way for the annual holiday bazaar at the Bowen’s Corners United Methodist Church to be held Friday and Saturday. The event will feature crafts, a bake sale and candy sale, and a luncheon, which will be served throughout the day. Bazaar hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

Members of the Holy Trinity Children’s Choir rehearse for Fulton Community Theatre’s upcoming production of “Pop’s Old-Fashioned Christmas Carol.” The production, staged as an old-time live radio broadcast, will play for two performances only on December 1 at 7:30 p.m. and December 2 at 2 p.m.
