Members of Phi Theta Kappa, Cayuga Community College Fulton Campus recently presented Catholic Charities of Oswego County with a donation for the agency’s food pantry. The students raised the money by selling pizza on Wednesdays at the Fulton Campus.
Fox gave updates on the upcoming art shows, workshops and the second Annual Arts Fest which will be held June 9 at the Community Center.
The live webcast will link from the home page of oswego.edu on graduation day. The ceremonies also will air live on Time Warner Cable Channel 96 in some regions of Central and Northern New York.
In 2003, the Oswego Town Historical Society began its drive to create a lasting memorial in recognition of town native Dr. Walker. While the statue has reached completion, there are still expenses including the upcoming dedication program.
The program’s goal is promoting kindergarten readiness through a variety of learning materials and developmentally appropriate opportunities that assist children in developing academically, socially and emotionally.
A fresh batch of Julie Litts Robsts cemetery books of the Town of Richland have arrived and are for sale. These books cover Daysville on Route 3 and South Richland on Old Mexico Road, along with some of the smaller burial grounds. They will be available at Half-Shire or by mail.
On May 9 at 6:30 p.m. the Fulton Public Library is having a free slide show and presentation by Dick Drosse on the history and redevelopment of Great Bear Springs.
But despite the popularity of the Fulton Public Library and the opportunities it offers community members, its future now lies largely with those it serves the most, those who reside in the Fulton City School District.
