Minetto  Elementary School recently held a Pajama Day. The event was sponsored by the Student Council and benefited MacArthur Elementary School in Binghamton.

Oswego Wal-Mart donated $3,500 to the Oswego City School District “Family Giving Program.” Representatives from the Home and School Associations attended the presentation ceremony.

Students in Julie Galvin’s class at the Oswego County BOCES Fourth Street School in Fulton presented a fun and seasonally festive play titled “The Ugly Pumpkin” for parents, family members, and fellow students recently.

Tenth grade students from schools across the county recently visited Oswego County BOCES to tour the Burton Ramer Technical Career Center, meet the instructors and learn about the various Career and Technical Education programs offered.

As part of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports program, students participated in a variety of activities to acknowledge meeting school-wide expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be Ready to Learn.

Joey Occhino, owner of Vona’s Restaurant in Oswego, will be providing the next Guest Chef Dinner at the Oswego Salvation Army on Tuesday, December 13, serving from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M., for dining in or taking out, at the Citadel, 73 West Second Street, Oswego. The dinners have been moved to Tuesday evenings to improve the parking situation for guests.

When it cam time for Rodney and Shirley Revette to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, the couple decided that rather than exchange gifts with each other, they would support a local program that was dear to their hearts.

Oswego County Opportunities’ recently recognized, Mary Lou Guindon, Dining and Activity Center Manager, as its Outstanding Employee, Senior Services. She was honored for her commitment, resourcefulness, and dedication to OCO and those she serves.
