In recognition of November being National Runaway Prevention Month OCO’s Crisis and Development Services’ YES! Program has been busy spreading the word and educating the community on the issue of homeless youth in Oswego County and the services that YES! offers to help combat these issues and provide assistance to those in need.
Richard Mosher has recently completed his directorial requirements for the group and will be debuting his talents in the Players’ December presentation of “Silent Night, Lonely Night,” written by Robert Anderson.
On Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. in the Sheldon Ballroom on the campus of SUNY Oswego, the Oswego Community Youth Orchestra will begin its fifth season with: To Boldly Go Where No One Has Gone Before.” It is a program of music with “outer world” themes.
Many of the participants in the 30-hour Direct Selling Certificate pilot training program at Cayuga Community College represent industries ranging from cleaning products, health and beauty products, Internet marketing, financial services, handbags, and energy. Others have been laid off and looking for a new opportunity; and some have always considered going into business for themselves and simply wanted to learn more about direct sales.
