Career and Technical Education students in the Construction Technology program and the Heavy Equipment Repair and Operations (HERO) program at Oswego County BOCES (OCB) worked cooperatively on a project to benefit the Oswego County Humane Society’s Large Animal Assistance Project.
The Kingsford Park Elementary School’s Home and School Association is holding a clothing drive through Nov. 14 for two local families. Both families lost their home and all the¡r belongings to a devastating fire last week.
Step One Creative, an Oswego-based marketing communications firm, has announced that Myia Knapp, of Oswego, New York, has joined the agency as a fall semester marketing intern, according to President Shane R. Stepien.
Each year, more than 300 youth run away or are homeless in Oswego County. Area citizens can help these young people by guiding them toward available resources and empowering them to make safe, healthy and productive choices.
“These are great opportunities for us to further develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals as we continue in our efforts to promote Oswego County as a tourism destination,” said David Turner, director of the Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning.
The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Middle School music program held their annual Costume Concert on October 31st for family members, friends, fellow students, and faculty members. The event, which combined musical talent with the fun and whimsy of costumes celebrating the Halloween holiday, provided quite a treat for those who attended the packed event.
