State Senator Patty Ritchie today announced that she is teaming with Central New York employers and agencies to host a Career and Resource Expo with the goal of allowing more Oswego County residents to hear the words, “You’re Hired!”

Elder abuse goes largely unreported. A recent statewide study of elder abuse determined that only one out of approximately 35 incidents comes to the attention of authorities in our region.

As part of SUNY Oswego’s Alumni Weekend the DKK Alumni Association is sponsoring a Déjà vu reunion concert on June 10 from 9 p.m. until midnight behind GS Steamers / The Econolodge, East First Street. Headlining the concert will be Oswego’s own Frostbit Blue.
The event will feature plenty of food, fun and games for the entire family including: a cake booth, plant booth, Kiddie Land, a 50 / 50 drawing and live entertainment nightly.

On June 11 Lakeview Lanes, Route 3 West, will host a chicken barbecue and car wash for Catholic Charities of Oswego County. The event is a fundraiser for the many programs and services that the agency provides to those in need in Oswego County.

Located at 4822 Salina St., the new location will allow the CAC to better serve the northern part of Oswego County. A non-profit charitable organization, the CAC provides a range of services to children who have been physically, sexually, or emotionally abused.
