Scheduled for June 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Fulton YMCA on Route 3, this free event, which is open to the public, will feature more than a dozen vendors and offer women an afternoon of fun, pampering and valuable information on women’s health issues.
On May 26, Hannibal Masonic Lodge No. 550 installed its officers for 2010-2011. District Deputy Grand Master John E. Krauss served as installing officer and George A. Reed served as installing marshal. John Ernest Congdon was installed as Master of Hannibal Masonic Lodge.
OCO’s Cancer Services Program invites women of all ages to attend a health fair designed exclusively for them. Scheduled for June 4, the event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at the Fulton YMCA, Route 3 West from 1 to 4 p.m.
The Professional Journalists and Communicators of Oswego County has extended the deadline for the annual Muriel Allerton Scholarship Award to June 6.
Now in its 16th year, the United Way Golf Classic provides community members with an opportunity to enjoy a fun day of golf while supporting their local United Way. Last year’s event hosted a field of 52 teams and according to United Way Resource Development Director, Lois Luber, early entries indicate that this year’s Golf Classic may even be more popular.
Oswego Naval Sea Scouts – Ship 229, H. Lee White Marine Museum Division will be holding its monthly meeting May 28 and 29 all weekend and preparing for the Oswego Memorial Day event.
The Oswego Association of Business and Professional Women installed new officers at its May meeting. The OABPW is an active community service organization. Membership includes working women and retirees.
This summer, Fort Ontario State Historic Site in Oswego, will host nine separate – (one week long) military history activity sessions for children ages 8-18. The sessions will be led by AmeriCorps staffer Ian Mumpton. The programming is aimed at getting young people outside and active during the summer.
The curriculum is designed to promote original problem solving in the fields of engineering, science, math and the humanities.
