Honor Students Visit Fulton Rotary Club

James McKay, left, and Brenna Merry, right, recently visited the Fulton Rotary Club.  James and Brenna are seniors at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton.  Each month, two honor students visit the Rotary Club and discuss their high school experiences and their vocational and college plans with the Rotarians.  Rotarian Judy Young, center, chairs the youth programs for the Rotary Club, and is handing each student their Achievement Award from the Club.  James McKay's interest is in science and math.  His hobbies are computers and photography.  Jim has written hundreds of software programs for computers.  When he completes high school, he will study computer programing in college.  Jim's college decisions are not final yet.  Jim is active in many school organizations, including National Honor Society.   Brenna Merry has been a very active student while in high school.  Brenna is also a member of the Science and Math Clubs, but also enjoys Mixed Choir, Student Senate, Ski Club and Future Business Leaders.  Brenna is a member of the National Honor Society and has held leadership roles in the Society.  After high school, Brenna wants to study to become a Speech Pathologist.Each month, two honor students visit the Rotary Club and discuss their high school experiences and their vocational and college plans with the Rotarians.

Matthew Riherd, a Mediapolis, Iowa, native, shop office clerks with 632nd Maintenance Company, 110th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 224th Sustainment Brigade, 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), perform duties outside their military occupation specialty in order to achieve their daily mission at the shop office Dec. 12, at Contingency Operating Base Adder, Iraq. Allstate agent Cale Schorer and office mascot Mayhem present box of supplies to OCSPCA’s Rebecca LagodaThe Schorer Agency, located at 47 South 1st Street in Fulton, collected several large and small bags of food, blankets, toys, cleaning supplies, treats and litter, leashes and collars, and shampoos to help keep the SPCA’s animals clean and healthy.
