Fulton Rotarians Get Chamber Update

Recently, Beth Hilton, Executive Director of the Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, stopped by the Fulton Rotary Club to give the Rotarians an update on the business activities in the Fulton and Oswego area.  Fulton banker, Ray Czachor introduced Beth to the Rotarians.  Ms. Hilton has been Executive Director of the Chamber for the last twenty months. The current Chamber consists of 500 members.  Sixty-two percent of the members employs 1 to 5 employees.  There are 4 paid staff members including Beth.  Beth seemed quite happy with the Chamber’s accomplishments.  Health Insurance, Energy Savings Program, Promotional activities, Networking Clubs are some of the programs provided by the Chamber.  They are working on a Brown Bag Program and a Technology Program.  In Fulton they operate the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and offer events such as the Jazz Festival and Tunes in June.  At the conclusion Beth read the historic accomplishments of other Chambers throughout the country.Recently, Beth Hilton, Executive Director of the Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, stopped by the Fulton Rotary Club to give the Rotarians an update on the business activities in the Fulton and Oswego area.

Oswego Softball Team Sets Fundraising Breakfast

Lindsey Ramsey (L) and Devynn Wilder (R) meet at the Elks Lodge #271 West Fifth and Bridge Streets, in Oswego to prep for the Lady Buccaneers Breakfast Buffet, this Sunday, January 30 from 8:30 – noon. The cost of the breakfast is $7.00 for adults; children under 5 eat free.  Tickets are available presale from any Lady Buccaneer parent, or at the door. The menu includes  French toast, pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, assorted juices, and coffee.   Proceeds will help defray the cost of the Lady Buccaneer softball team’s biennial spring training trip South.
