“The Next Great Idea” 2010 Business Plan Competition Winner Announced

Lakeside Artisans’ Cooperative is the winner of the 2010 “Next Great Idea” (NGI) $25,000 Oswego County Business Plan Competition.  Pictured are, from left, Jeff Grimshaw, interim director for SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations; Larry Perras NGI co-chair, Allen Bjorkman, Michele Southgate and Tim Ames of Lakeside Artisans’ Cooperative; Austin Wheelock, NGI co-chair; and L. Michael Treadwell, executive director of Operation Oswego County.Lakeside Artisans’ Cooperative was named the 2010 “Next Great Idea” (NGI) Oswego County Business Competition winner at a reception held Tuesday at The American Foundry in Oswego. The company was awarded $25,000 to start its business in Oswego County.

St. Luke Health Services Holds Food Drive to Benefit Catholic Charities

Pictured taking part in the St. Luke “Dress Down Day” in support of Catholic Charities of Oswego County holiday food drive, are (left to right) staff and event organizers Cheryl Druce, RN; Tracy Boyzuck, Health Information Clerk; Michelle Smith, RN; Heather Mellen, Human Resources Coordinator; and Betsy Nesbitt, In-Service Coordinator. For a donation of a canned of non-perishable food item, St. Luke staff was able to wear their favorite casual clothes to work for the day, with all proceeds going Catholic Charities of Oswego County in anticipation of the coming holiday season.In anticipation of the coming holiday season, staff at St. Luke Health Services held a “Food Drive” to benefit Catholic Charities of Oswego County.
