I would like to extend an invitation to hair salons throughout Oswego County to join us in our fight against cancer by encouraging their customers to help spread the word to their loved ones about the services and screenings available through OCO’s Cancer Services Program Partnership of Oswego County.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, women with limited or no health insurance will have the opportunity to receive free mammograms and breast exams during October courtesy of Oswego County Opportunities’ Cancer Services Program Partnership.

Oswego County Hospice will honor the memories of deceased loved ones at its annual Memorial Service on Sunday, October 17. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Fulton Alliance Church, 1044 State Route 48, Fulton.
On Saturday, October 2nd, employees from Lowe’s in Oswego will roll up their sleeves and construct a ramp at the Wilcox home 2333 County Route 176 in Fulton. The ramp build will start at 9:00 a.m. at the home that is located right across from the Oswego County Airport.
SUNY Oswego has signed on for charter membership in a tracking and rating system designed to help higher education institutions measure and reach climate impact, energy use and scores of other sustainability goals.
Thanks to the procurement of a grant from the New York State Department of Health, area youth will find it easier to obtain the information and education they need to make wise choices regarding their personal health.
Longtime historian, Richard Palmer will offer a Powerpoint presentation and discussion on “George Goble, Oswego Shipbuilder†on Oct. 9 at 1:30 p.m. at the H. Lee White Marine Museum on Oswego’s West First Street Pier.
