Freewill Dinner August 22 at Minetto United Methodist Church
The Nurture & Care Committee of the Minetto United Methodist Church will host a freewill dinner on Sunday, August 22, serving from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M. The menu will be pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni salad, and dessert. Donations are not expected but will be accepted.
Music Boosters to Run Dunking Booth During Hannibal Field Days; Local Celebrities Will Be Targets
The Hannibal Music Boosters will operate a dunk tank booth at the Hannibal Firemen’s Field Days beginning Thursday.
The organization has lined up several local celebrities and officials to volunteer to be dunked to help raise money for the school music program.
Seniors Targeted in Area Scams
Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I—Pulaski) today warned people that there are several scams taking place in the area, particularly targeting seniors. He said seniors should know what to avoid so they can protect themselves. Loved ones of seniors should also be on the alert to help prevent scammers from victimizing seniors.
Owens Announces Additional Donut Hole Checks Are On Their Way to New York Seniors
Today, Congressman Bill Owens announced that Medicare will begin mailing out another round of $250 ‘donut hole’ checks to more than 30,000 New York seniors.

Pulaski Fund Awards $2,500 Grant
The Greater Pulaski Community Endowment Fund awarded a $2,250 grant to Half-Shire Historical Society to purchase and install wood flooring in the building’s southwest classroom exhibit space.
