AmeriCorps Member Improves Camp Hollis Bird Watching Area

Oswego County AmeriCorps member Cosima Sokal-Davidson stands next  to the new birding display which she created and installed at Camp  Hollis in the town of Oswego. Now, thanks to AmeriCorps member Cosima Sokal-Davidson, visitors can easily identify some of the birds they’re seeing at Camp Hollis. Cosima created an interpretive display board to help people learn more about some of the typical birds that can be seen from the camp’s shore.

Sunrise Rotarians Hear About Social Security

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Peggy Donnelly  introduced John Finocchiaro, the District Manager of the Social  Security Administration office in Oswego.   John talked about the many  avenues that are related to Social Security, mentioning the huge  increase in disability applicants.    Also about 48 per cent of new  claims are now done on the Internet, but he stressed the importance of  shopping for supplemental carriers.     The Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets  every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting, Rotarian Peggy Donnelly introduced John Finocchiaro, the District Manager of the Social Security Administration office in Oswego.
