Parents of Children with Special Needs Get Information on Multiple Local Programs and Services
The evening, offered Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at ARC of Oswego’s Fun Rock Café, will feature presenters from at least ten different agencies that offer programs and services. Parents can learn about available recreation and respite programs, athletic opportunities, guardianship assistance, residential habilitation, advocacy groups, and more.
“Blue Ribbon Ride†Boosts Child Advocacy Center
Olivia VanSanford, Executive Director of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County (CAC) announced that the center’s 6th Annual “Blue Ribbon Ride†Against Child Abuse raised more than $3,000 to help support the agency’s efforts to combat and prevent child abuse in Oswego County.

The United Way of Greater Oswego County got its annual campaign off to an inspiring start with a special breakfast held Wednesday, September 9th at the American Foundry in Oswego. Empower Scholarship Winners Include Seven from Oswego County Schools
Seven of the ten Empower Federal Credit Union college scholarship recipients are students from Oswego County. Empower has awarded $7,000 in scholarships to ten high school seniors from the class of 2009, in Oswego, Onondaga, Montgomery, and Erie Counties.
