Constellation Energy and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Confirm Merger Process on Track

Constellation Energy (NYSE: CEG) and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company today announced that the merger between the two parties is proceeding as outlined in the merger agreement entered into on September 19, 2008. Constellation operates the Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station in Scriba.

Eleventh Anniversary Celebration At First United Church Of Fulton

On Sunday, October 5th, in the 11:00 AM worship hour, the First United Church of Fulton, 33 South Third Street, Fulton, will celebrate its eleventh anniversary as a united and uniting congregation.  First United Church formed, officially, in October of 1997 with the coming together of the former First Presbyterian Church and the former First Baptist Church.  Rev. David Nethercott also marks his eleventh year in ministry as the first called pastor of the united congregation.

B.E.S.T. For Our Future Task Force Formed

At the first meeting of the B.E.S.T. (Balancing Education and School Taxes) for Our Future Task Force, members of the APW community were asked to serve the district in an advisory capacity to review the building project modifications, goals and objectives and determine how best to communicate with the residents of the district their findings and recommendations.
