Right now, the maximum heating aid grant is the same, whether you live on the South Shore of Long Island or the shore of Lake Ontario. Obviously, the winters are longer and colder in our region, and our families need additional relief.

Fulton Public Library Presents Quilting for Beginners

Fulton Public Library will be hosting Stephanie McCall, of Quilts by Commission, for a beginner’s quilting class.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â There will be two classes held ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â‚¬Å“ Wednesdays from 10 to 11 and then from 1:30 to 2:30.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â It will be six weeks long, starting on September 24th and ending on October 29th.

On Saturday, September 27 at the Salmon River Fish Hatchery at 2133 County Route 22 in Altmar, Salmon River Steward Greg Chapman will be available from 11am to 3pm to answer questions about the Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive forest pest that threatens invasion of the Tug Hill region.
