The H. Lee White Maritime Museum is pleased to announce its Summer Art Show 2019 featuring “Where the River & Lake Meet” – a photographic exhibit featuring the works of local talent Elizabeth Canfield.

St. Francis Commons will host an educational program by the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New York Chapter entitled, “Effective Communication Strategies,” on May 20 from 2 to 3 p.m.

The recognition serves to improve understanding, change behaviors, challenge victim-blaming attitudes, respect personal boundaries, and practice healthy communication with children.

Oswego Trinity United Methodist Church (corner of East Fourth and Utica streets) will host Dan Schall in concert on May 8, at 7 p.m.

Held in the town’s main park, kids of all ages have participated by dressing up as fairies, gnomes and other woodland creatures marching in the parade and participating or watching the May Pole dance.

This event will be held between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Roy C. McCrobie Building on 41 Lake St.

Leighton Elementary School students recently celebrated Earth Day by accepting their own Norway spruce trees from the 2019 Plant-A Tree Program.

Lanigan Elementary students who exhibited self-control throughout the month of April were recently honored with certificates of recognition during a school assembly.
