Dean’s List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Inez Parker, organizer of the May book sale at the Church of the Resurrection, gives 10 percent of the sale’s proceeds to Oswego’s Blessings in a Backpack program, represented by Beth Hallinan, the program’s co-coordinator.

On June 9 just before SUNY Oswego President Deborah F. Stanley delivered the College Update at Reunion 2018, Oswego Alumni Association President Lisa Marceau Schnorr recognized fellow board member Dan Scaia, a 1968 graduate, with the Alumni Impact Award.

Casting is complete for Oswego Players’ third production of its 80th anniversary season, the musical comedy “The Fantastics.” The Fantastics was written by Harvey Schmidt with lyrics by Tom Jones. The show tells an allegorical tale of two neighbors who try to trick their children into falling in love by pretending to feud.

Eighty-four SUNY Potsdam student-athletes, including nine two-sport athletes, have earned a spot on the State University of New York Athletic Conference’s Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

Assemblyman Will Barclay recently presented Oswego Fire Fighter Sean O’Gorman with an Assembly Resolution in recognition of his quick thinking and heroic actions. While on vacation with his family in North Carolina’s Emerald Isle, O’Gorman spotted two girls who were struggling in the water.

The Oswego County Health Department offers a variety of services to all residents of Oswego County, including preventive health services, certified hospice, and a maternal and child health program.
