12th Annual Family Fun Walk for Autism Set May 5

The 12th annual Family Fun Walk for Autism will take place on Saturday, May 5. This event is free and open to the public. Organized by the Oswego County Autism Task Force, the event is much more than just “a walk.” It mixes a three-mile walk with a variety of fun activities while it aims to raise awareness about autism and the services that are offered locally and regionally.

Creative Writing, Chemistry, Cinema Studies Students Collaborate On safety Films

A spirit of collaboration led to SUNY Oswego’s creative writing, chemistry and cinema and screen studies programs working together to create a series of short films on laboratory safety. A 2017 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Humanities Collaboratory workshop — where faculty members could speak with each other about their cross-discipline research and project needs — served as the catalyst.

Openings Still Available for 2018-19 Universal Pre-K Program In Oswego School District

Several Universal Pre-Kindergarten half-day programs in the Oswego City School District still have openings available for the 2018-19 school year. Due to a lack of requests for the afternoon program at Leighton and feedback received regarding interest for an afternoon program at Minetto, the district has decided to cancel the PM class at Leighton and add a PM class at Minetto.
