The 2018 SUNY Oswego President’s Award for Teaching Excellence will recognize Fehmi Damkaci of the chemistry department, while the Provost’s Award for Teaching Excellence for Part-Time Faculty will honor Charles Itzin of English and creative writing. They will receive their awards at the college’s annual Teaching and Learning Awards Ceremony luncheon in the fall.

To be listed, students must have completed at least 12 credit hours for the semester and earned a 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0.

The annual United Way of Greater Oswego County Golf Tournament is enjoying strong community support again this year as Burke’s Home Center, Fulton Savings Bank, NRG, Pathfinder Bank, Penske Logistics, and Quaker Chemical Corporation return as corporate sponsors. Joining this group is Motion Industries and NBT Bank who have also signed on as corporate sponsors.

Each semester, full-time students who have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 3.65 are placed on the Dean’s List.

Cazenovia College recognizes students for their academic achievement during the Spring 2018 semester. Those named to the Dean’s List have achieved a 3.5 or better grade point average.

The three SUNY Oswego alumni — Kendis Gibson, Trudy Perkins and Catherine Santos — were among 50 given distinguished honors at the celebration. Perkins and Santos were present for the event. The April 14 event at Buffalo State College was a culmination of a yearlong celebration of the 50th anniversary of EOP.

Quite a few of the cast members in the current production have appeared in past Harborfest Children’s Musical productions including Dan Emmons, Emma Deloff, Megan Samson, Sydney Osborn, Sean Metcalf, Emma Deloff, Avery Farfaglia, Emily Kerst and Haily Barbeau.
