15,000 Butterflies For 15,000 Children

With April being Holocaust Remembrance month, CNY Arts Center in Fulton is ambitiously trying to fold 15,000 origami butterflies to represent the thousands of children lost during the Holocaust. More than 15,000 Jewish children passed through Terezin on their way to the gas chambers. Only about a hundred were still alive when the ghetto was liberated at the end of the war.

Fulton Softball Accepting Registration Through April 27

Fulton’s self-sufficient city softball league is approaching the registration deadline to enter a team for the 2018 season. Interested teams must submit a registration form with $280 for an entry fee, ASA sanction fee and forfeit fee to the City Clerk’s office at the Fulton Municipal Building, 141 South First Street by Friday, April 27.

Oswego County Opportunities Services to Aid Families Program has collaborated with business owners at Canal Commons to display its annual Clothesline Project in recognition of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The Clothesline Project is part of a national campaign in which those affected by abuse and violence decorate T-Shirts. Each shirt is designed by local victims and survivors to help raise awareness; give a voice to those who have been silenced; and help with the healing process.
