Thanks to the support we received from community members, and area businesses our inaugural CYO Rock the Rim for Youth Basketball Tournament was a success. The event raised some much needed funds for our CYO program that provides a wide variety of recreational and educational activities for our youth.
Thanks to the tremendous support we received from the community we were able to distribute hundreds of books to children along the parade route. It was wonderful to see the expressions on their faces and the appreciation of the parents.

Community Action was birthed in the mid-1960s out of the Johnson Administration’s War on Poverty and 1,200 agencies like Oswego County Opportunities have been fighting that battle in their respective communities ever since.
We’ve had almost 200 inches of snowfall this season. The people on West Second Street South, between Broadway and Voorhees Street, worked together in plowing sidewalks and even driveways so that no one was stranded.
SUNY Oswego is to be commended for their efforts on behalf of the United Way of Greater Oswego County.
