My husband, John, and I have been to Myanmar several times. The country has a plethora of interesting sites including Bagan, Mandalay and Lake Inle. But, it is beautiful Ngapali Beach on the Bay of Bengal that draws us back year after year.
Ngapali Beach is a 40-minute plane ride from Yangon, the former capital.
With opening night only days away, CNY Arts Center has established box office hours to accommodate ticket sales for its first theatre production in its new facility located at the Park Street entrance of State Street Methodist Church at 357 State St.
After more than a year of events, meetings and fundraising with a goal to serve all arts for all ages, CNY Arts Center is finally set to open its first stage production with an impressive cast of 12 and a brand new stage.
Recently, I toured the Oneida Community Mansion House and learned about this amazing chapter in New York State history. The large rambling brick mansion was built in stages starting in 1861. The community was founded by John Humphrey Noyes in 1848 in an attempt to create the perfect society. At its height it had about 300 members that lived together as one family.
Believe it or not! I just visited Sylvan Beach for the first time.
What a fun place. It is another case of missing the places that are close to home.
