Described as an energetic ensemble of brass and percussion, the Sounds of Brass entertains audiences with its varied repertoire of swing, Dixieland, movie and Broadway themes, patriotic selections and familiar favorites.
Selections of Grainger’s music: the Children’s March, Shepherds Hey, Country Gardens and Molly on the Shore will be featured. Other selections will include a Medley from My Fair Lady and Trumpeter’s Lullaby performed by Soloist Ron Stewart.
The Oswego Players are continuing an annual tradition of presenting a musical in July with their latest production “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown. The play is truly a summer show presenting the adventures of Charlie Brown from the famous characters created by late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts.
Local theater lovers should get ready for a treat, this July, with the Oswego Players production of, the Musical “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brownâ€. Veteran actress and director, Inez Manor Parker, directs a show that is sure to please everyone in the family.
“Holidays Through the Year†is the theme for the first concert of the 2010 Summer Sunset Concert Series.
The cast includes: Oswego Players veterans, and newcomers including, Tyler Spicer, as Charlie Brown Richard Mosher, as Linus, Jeremy Edwards, as Snoopy, Dan Williams, Schroeder, Jodi Castello, as Sally and Molly Brown as Lucy .
The Oswego Players will host auditions for the teen comedy “Break a Leg†on Saturday June 19th from 1-3 pm and Monday June 21st from 7-9 pm. The show is a comedy in 2 acts for ages 12-20.
Ryan Fitzsimmons, Love Volcanoes and SIRSY will all perform during the first full day of music beginning at 1 PM on Friday, July 23..
This anniversary season will kick off with a program theme of Holiday Music Throughout the Year where you’re sure to hear some of your favorites.
