Oswego Health is offering free workshops for community members who want to better manage their chronic conditions. The free, six-week program developed by Stanford University will be held Tuesdays from 1 to 3:30 p.m. beginning January 14 at the Pontiac Terrace Apartments on West First Street in Oswego.

Oswego Hospital’s Maternity Center was presented new mom baskets by store managers of The Cellular Connection. Tara Sahlberg, of the Pulaski store, and Corey Bryant of the Central Square store, recently delivered the baskets that included many items that new mothers need.

Oswego Health’s Lakeside Heart Center has been accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, signifying the facility offers the highest standards for cardiac rehabilitation. The Lakeside Heart Center, located at 177 W. Fourth St., in Oswego, provides cardiac rehabilitation to community members who have recently experienced a cardiac event.

Certified Nurse Midwife Theresa Check has joined the staff of Oswego Hospital’s maternity center and the local practice, Oswego County OB-GYN. Check recently graduated from The Ohio State University, where she earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing after studying midwifery and women’s health.
