We have another job for you. State Senator Michael Gianaris and Assembly member Linda Rosenthal are sponsoring legislation (A.6298/S.4234) that would prohibit the sale of dogs, cats and rabbits in pet stores across the state. This is huge. New York has one of the nation’s highest concentrations of dog retailers.

Lasagna is a 1.5-year-old female, calico, domestic short-hair cat. She recently had a litter of kittens and was such a good mother, but is now spayed. All her kits are al dente and now it’s Lasagna’s turn for a saucy new forever home.

No one has asked us any questions recently, so apparently you all know everything you need to know about your pets. Which is great. It’s Valentine’s Day as I write this letter and I am wondering whether my dog, Henry, loves me. No seriously, he acts like he does. He follows me around looking all moony eyed and he is ludicrously happy when I come home from work and he snuggles up with me every night.

Help! I just adopted Lolita, an adorable puppy mill dog from a shelter, and I am discovering that she eats poop; her own poop, poop that she finds in the yard, poop that she finds in the litter box. It’s disgusting and I am worried that it will make her sick.
